The Shield offers programs for children 6 weeks old through 5th grade.

We believe Kids Ministry is about more than just childcare—it’s about helping children grow in faith, character, and confidence. At The Shield, we are committed to creating a space where kids can encounter Jesus, discover their gifts, and develop a heart for serving others. Our staff and volunteers are deeply invested, and our leadership prioritizes the next generation because we know what happens in childhood shapes their future in the Kingdom.
Children in Kindergarten through 5th grade start in worship with their families in the main auditorium. After worship, they are dismissed to age-appropriate classes led by trained volunteers, where learning God’s Word is hands-on, exciting, and memorable.

Programs for every age group

Nursery

6 months to 4 years old

In the nursery, children experience God’s love through simple Bible stories, songs, and play. We focus on teaching them that they are special, loved by God, and created for a purpose, laying the foundation for kindness, joy, and peace.

Kids Ministry

5 to 11 years old

In Kids Ministry, children discover their identity in Christ through Bible lessons, worship, and activities. We teach them to walk in the fruit of the Spirit—love, joy, kindness, and more—helping them build strong, lasting faith.
